I am organizing an excrusion as part of the Swiss Geoevents in May 2010.

The day will include a excursion along the Aare looking at geologic features and a visit to the University of Bern Department of Geology where they are having an Open House.

Es werden bestehende Objekte besichtigt (Molassestollen, Molassehöhle, Grundwassernutzung), aktuelle Projekte (Aareunterquerung) und zukünftige Vorhaben (Hochwasserschutz, Altlastensanierung). Zum Abschluss gibts einen erfrischenden Test...

At the open house you will learn about the following topics:

• Geologische Karten - unschätzbare Informationsquelle
